For people with albinism living in poverty across Africa, a safe home is the foundation of health, dignity, and safety — and for many, it remains out of reach.

People with albinism already face heightened vulnerability to skin cancer and other serious health conditions. Inadequate housing compounds these risks . Research confirms that poor housing conditions are directly linked to poor health outcomes, and that access to clean sanitation saves lives.

Our first goal is always self-sufficiency. Through programs like the Chicken Project, we work to help people with albinism build sustainable income so they can, in time, meet their own needs — including housing. But there are circumstances where immediate support is necessary.
